Today we said goodbye to our loved ones and drove to Auckland. Tonight we will stay in the YWAM base before catching our early morning flight out.
For me (Matt) it has been a trip down memory lane as my first introduction to New Zealand was with YWAM. As I sit down in the dorm rooms I once slept in almost 20 years ago I am reminded of the prayer I prayed…
”How long God will I work for YWAM? I long to step out on my own to go where you would send me…”
It seems divine irony that I return two decades later to the same room, with the same fire to serve God in the nations and the same desire to step out and start something new.
As we prayed tonight Meschach encouraged us that he has prayed for a team to come to the Solomon’s with a vision for missions. He trusts God is doing something but we sit on the edge of our seats we are asking, “what is it God?”
Our nervous apprehension of what lays ahead is terrifying and exciting. I am nervous our trip would be plain and uneventful, perhaps some of the team is worried for the opposite!
Despite this we advance knowing by some miracle God has called us.
**Rigo has not yet received his visa (Chileans need a visa to enter the Solomons) so he will join us in a few days, however he has come with us to Auckland for the night and will leave us at the airport tomorrow. Please pray for a quick resolve.**
